Four boutique tube amps in one, so you can find your tone.

If your tone is your masterpiece, DT25 is your paintbrush. This portable 25W/10W tube amp from Line 6 and tube-amp guru Reinhold Bogner gives you four stunning, lust-worthy amp voicings and unprecedented versatility that lay the foundation for you to build your perfect tone.

The powerful combination of reconfigurable analog components and HD modeling allows DT25 to be four amps in one capable of producing American cleans, British crunch, class A chime and modern high-gain. Selectable operating class, power tube mode and four Voicings (which offer the perfect combinations of negative feedback loop topology, and HD preamp and tone stack modeling) can dial in classic vintage tones or be shaped into highly customized originals – and each one drips with boutique tone and touch-response.

Fine-tune each DT25 voicing by reconfiguring analog components and crafting original tones that transcend the classic templates. DT25 provides a truly wide tonal palette.

DT50/DT25 v2.0 firmware lets you create original amp tones by pairing your choice of 30 HD preamps with any combination of dynamic topologies (negative feedback loop, operating class, power tube mode and more) within Reinhold Bogner’s reconfigurable tube power amp.

Selectable analog components.

Rather than being set in stone like those of most great tube amps, the analog components at the heart of DT25 are all totally reconfigurable to match the tones in your head. Select any of the amp’s four voicings (which offer the perfect combinations of negative feedback loop topology, and HD preamp and tone stack modeling), and the DT25 gives you analog settings to match. You can further alter settings such as output tube class (A or AB), power tube mode (pentode/triode) settings and more to take your tone beyond the traditional templates.

Channel switching for instant flexibility.

In addition to all of its voicing flexibility, DT25 features two entirely independent channels. A flick of its A/B switch or a tap of a latching footswitch is capable of causing a full analog and digital transformation – go from a tight, crystalline American clean to an open, jangly British crunch. Dial in two clean sounds or set one channel as a Boost. Set them any way you like – you’re not forced to choose between just "clean" and "dirty."

A brief history of tone: the HD modeling story.

Over the last decade and a half, Line 6 has taken amp modeling from experimental to essential. POD® HD Pro contains new HD models, which are a quantum leap forward in modeling quality, giving digital signal processing all the feel, dynamics and playability that makes players passionate about great tube amps.

Dive in deep for the full, behind-the-scenes story.

Bogner: A legend in tube-amp design.

The man who revitalized Eddie Van Halen’s famous #1 Marshall® plexi, Reinhold Bogner is one of the most respected names in the world of tube amplifiers. Bogner was designing and building amps long before leaving Germany for California in 1989. Once settled in Los Angeles, he quickly earned a maniacally devoted following of discerning guitarists including Jerry Cantrell, Lyle Workman, Wes Borland, Chris DeGarmo, Keith Urban, Richie Sambora, Steve Stevens, Dan Huff, Allan Holdsworth, Mike Landau, Steve Vai and EVH. As Bogner continues to issue one legendary tube amp design after another, the list of devotees keeps growing.

Low Volume mode.

Way beyond a traditional master volume, switching to Low Volume mode lets you take the DT25 down to whisper-quiet levels for recording or late-night jamming, without losing an ounce of your crystalline clean or bone-crunching high-gain tones. The tubes distort less in Low Volume mode so the HD modeling technology picks up the slack and fills out the tone with rich power amp modeling so it still sounds like it’s cranked up even at low levels.

L6 LINK™: Full integration of amp and multi-effect.

DT25™ amps and POD® HD processors seamlessly integrate to become a boutique tube amp factory complete with a staggering collection of preamps, tone stacks and effects available at the twist of a knob or the stomp of a switch.

When linked via a single XLR cable plugged into the L6 LINK™ jacks on the DT25 and POD HD, the two units instantly combine to form an extraordinarily powerful rig that’s greater than the sum of its parts. Call up a POD HD preset and it instantly reconfigures the amp’s tube bias, output class and more to best suit the selected HD amp model. Keep it traditional or edit your DT25 settings and save the configuration for instant recall as part of the POD HD preset. DT25 is the perfect pairing for POD HD. The days of plugging a POD into the front of an amp are over.

Full and instant analog/digital reconfiguration.

Selection of any POD HD amp model or preset instantly and dynamically reconfigures the DT25 analog tube output stage to match the modern or vintage tone you want. From a Class A output with zero negative feedback based on* a Vox® AC30 to a Class A/B output with high negative feedback based on* a Fender® Twin Reverb®, your POD HD and DT25 work hand-in-hand to deliver one-touch analog/digital reconfiguration.

30 HD preamps, 100+ M-class effects.

With your DT25 connected via L6 LINK™ to a POD HD, the amplifier instantly has access to the multi-effect processor’s full complement of HD amp models and M-class effects. Set the POD HD to an HD preamp-only model to tap the fully analog tube output stage of the DT25 for unparalleled dynamics and touch sensitivity. In addition, the massive collections of M-class effects that come standard on all POD HD multi-effect processors are grafted seamlessly onto the DT25 for a mind-boggling array of tonal options. For example, the POD HD effects can be laid out with a virtual effects loop: compressor, distortion and modulation in front of the preamp model, and delay and reverb after the preamp model feeding into the DT25 power section.

Stereo and wet/dry setups.

Setting up a stereo or wet/dry rig is easier than ever with DT25 amps and a POD HD connected via L6 LINK. POD HD multi-effects can control up to four DT25 amps so you can daisy-chain them or split the output of the POD HD left-right to two DT25 amps.

"Global" domination with a single stomp.

Want to augment your L6 LINK connection with even more power? Add a James Tyler Variax modeling guitar to the mix. With one motion, you can set off a global chain reaction that changes the analog and digital configuration of your DT25, the full preset of your POD HD and the guitar model and alternate tuning in your guitar – in an instant.

L6 LINK™ for total connectivity.

The innovative L6 LINK™ jacks are your window to incredible flexibility and instant scalability with other Line 6 gear equipped with L6 LINK jacks. Connect a POD® HD multi-effect to a DT25™ amp and the two combine to form a boutique amp factory capable of creating any vintage or modern tone you need. Bring a second (or third, or fourth) DT25 to that party to create incredible stereo rigs, wet/dry setups and more. All it takes to make an L6 LINK connection is a single XLR cable, but what you get is exponentially greater.

Additionally, L6 LINK connections are free of the noise and hum issues you can run into when trying to achieve similar functionality with the four-cable method and other multi-cable configurations.

MIDI in and out/thru.

With its back-panel MIDI in and out/thru jacks, DT25 is primed and ready to receive all your MIDI switching commands – from simple to complex. Use any standard MIDI switching system to control channel, voicing, reverb on/off, pentode/triode mode and class A/AB selection.

Channel and reverb footswitch.

The footswitch jack on the back of the DT25 provides some simple and incredibly useful functions. Connect any standard latching, two-button footswitch with a TRS cable for channel switching and global reverb switching. Or, for channel switching only, use a single-button footswitch connected with a TS (aka "mono") cable.

Serial effects loop.

The Send and Return jacks that make up the DT25 serial effects loop tap the signal chain post-preamp so you can link up your own favorite effect devices, from vintage tape delays to modern multi-effects processors like Line 6 stompbox modelers.

Multiple speaker outputs.

A straightforward selection of speaker outputs provides a fool-proof connection to single or multiple speaker cabs without fear of an impedance mismatch. Whether it’s a single 4-ohm, 8-ohm or 16-ohm cab, or two 4-ohm or two 8-ohm cabs at a time, DT25 has clear back-panel connections that make it easy to achieve a safe match.

Cabinet-simulated direct out.

Go direct and get rich, juicy DT25 tone without mic’ing the speaker. Connect an XLR cable from the transformer-tapped direct out to a PA, mixer or recording interface and achieve every detail of your precious tone complete with full cab simulation. A handy ground-lift switch is included to eliminate any unwanted hum or buzz.
