80s Hair High Gain is the TH-U expansion library created by the legendary sound designer The Amp Factory, based on the Orange Tree Studios* collection of rare amplifiers, dedicated to the Hair Hard Rock style.

When we talk about Rock! we think of The 80s era. The hair, the glamour, the WALL of sound! And it’s still sought after today. The Tone was big and juicy, with bite, and lots & lots of overdrive! This pack is aimed at capturing some of the legendary amps that were used in this era – big rock tones at your fingertips, from clean to scream and everything in between!

In this pack the "WEM* Dominator" as far as Im concerned is one of my most treasured amps ever, it was very much underestimated as it wasn't as loud as other manufactures for this "loud" era. - but the tone is just another level. - when we want to record a classic rock/Rock band guess what we gravitate towards first!

You can load the Choptones Angl Scream library into the Rig Player component, available in any TH-U version:

This library requires TH-U Full or one of its Editions to be used.

TH-U Full is available as AudioUnit, VST, AAX32 (ProTools 10.3.5 and above), AAX64 (ProTools 11 and 12) plugins, as well as a standalone application.

Both 32bit and 64bit are natively supported.

You can authorize TH-U Full on up to three computers that you own and one USB stick with a simple one-click software procedure (no hardware key needed).
