Delay Bundle

Stomp Delay

PSP stompDelay is a creative delay plug-in (VST, AAX and RTAS for Windows; AudioUnit, VST, AAX and RTAS for Mac OSX) designed to provide a wide range of sounds from lush analog tape delays through vibrant loops, from classic ping-pong to scratchy pitch shifts. It features both traditional delay effects and a looper when in “infinite operation mode” (called Infinity mode) that offers continuous tap tempo, as well as accurate tape simulation, including simulating the volume drop that occurs when fast forwarding or cueing the tape.

Testimonials

First, this thing is FUN--its rare to find a plug in that makes you want to turn knobs just to see what happens…and what happens sounds great - organic, alive but still clear - the delays are able to poke through and yet still sound like they are part of the mix... How did they do that?! flanging, subtle doubling, and conventional delays, to all out sonic chaos! This is a "must have" effect for my tool kit.

PSP Stomp Delay. It's fantastic. I spent a full 90 minutes running a recording of noisy children through it last night. I just got pulled in playing with all of the controls while checking out the presets. Vintage tape echo effects are a large part of my sound. This plug can go way beyond that. I found everything from flanging, subtle doubling, and conventional delays, to all out sonic chaos! This is a "must have" effect for my tool kit.

Atomic Shadow

The most creative effect plug-in of 2016. A near faultless, ridiculously versatile delay with a fabulous sound at a steal of a price. We're blown away!

Lexicon PSP 42

Lexicon PSP 42 is a high-quality digital stereo delay and phrase sampler plug-in (VST and RTAS, AAX for Windows; VST and RTAS, AAX for Mac OS classic and AudioUnit, VST, RTAS for Mac OSX Universal Binary) based on the legendary Lexicon PCM 42 processor famous for its distinctive sound and unique concept. Lexicon PSP 42 has been carefully designed to accurately reproduce the flexibility and warmth of this renowned classic. This has been accomplished by incorporating precise tape saturation algorithm and a delay line operating with variable sampling rate which simulates physical properties of vintage tape machine delays. The plug-in has been designed with consideration to preserve maximum signal quality at every processing stage.

The Lexicon PSP 42 is capable of generating wide variety of delay-based effects ranging from tempo-locked feedback delay with high frequency absorption and tape saturation to flanging and phasing effects. A flexible modulation section for continuous delay time and pitch control allows the user to add subtle animation or swing to the processed signal as well as to create unpredictable, alien sounds when pushed to its limits. The freely adjustable delay line sampling frequency makes Lexicon PSP 42 a good tool for creating low-fi effects that sound smooth thanks to the superior characteristics of employed interpolation algorithm. Close attention has been paid to make the unit operate without audible clicks or pops.

PSP is the sole developer and manufacturer of the Lexicon PSP 42. Functionality and sound of the Lexicon PSP 42 have been approved by Lexicon. PSP is responsible for all customer support.

What the Press Say?

The PCM 42 became a classic because it sounded good - not transparent, and certainly not clinical, but with a nice characteristic for delay and echo. I'm happy to say that PSP 42 holds its own, exploiting PSP's expertise in emulating tape saturation to achieve a sound that is pleasing and warm. In fact, I resurrected my old PCM 42 and tried it right up against the PSP version. I have to say that for some settings, I actually preferred the sound of PSP 42.
Gary Hall (designer of the original Lexicon PCM 42), Electronic Musician

The results are truly excellent, with the interactions of the many controls providing a far wider range of treatments than you'd find elsewhere. [...] The factory presets are impressive, as are the graphics and the audio quality - I'm not surprised that Lexicon gave this the thumbs up!
Martin Walker, Sound on Sound

The real beuty of the Lexicon PSP 42 is that you can't get hold of an original PCM42 for love nor money, so this could be your only chance to get a taste of the classic sound, no matter who you are or how much money you've got to throw away. We tried contacting a few of the best second-hand studio dealers in the UK and no one had (or knew of anyone who had) a PCM 42 for sale...

Applications

The Lexicon PSP 42 is primarily intended for processing individual tracks within a mix. It can be productively used to add superior sounding delay-based effects to solo instruments and vocals as well as to simulate vintage delay with tape saturation, high frequency absorption and variable tape speed. Tempo locking and handy modulation section make Lexicon PSP 42 an essential tool for experimenting with drum loops and other rhythmic patterns. Variable delay line sampling rate allows to generate good sounding low-fi effects as well as out-of-this-world sounds. Short delay times, pitch modulation and phase inverters reveal Lexicon PSP 42 potentials as a source of vibrant modulation effects such as flanger and doubler. Last but not least Lexicon PSP 42 is a simple ring reverb for a denser output.

608 MultiDelay

PSP 608 MD is perhaps the most fully featured delay plug-in available on the market (VST, AudioUnit, RTAS and AAX format for Mac OSX Universal Binary and VST, AAX and RTAS format for Windows). We have striven to offer you a creative tool that is not only functional, but inspiring. Each tap has selectable feedback, stereo image and position, delay time, multimode filter, modulation, drive/tape saturation, and reverb. Moreover, the feedback and drive can be placed at the beginning or end of the signal chain for even more sound design options! The modulation section consists of both an LFO and Envelope follower, and the tape saturation algorithm is taken from our renowned mastering processors. And of course all this can be done at any bit depth and sample rate up to 24-bit, 192kHz, and be fully automated via MIDI and any host sequencer.

What the press say?

So PSP have done it again. They’ve taken a basic idea, made it sound beautiful and then pushed it just that bit further. The 608 is one of the best-sounding delays available, and no other plug-in so closely resembles a high-powered hardware delay unit.

Computer Music

What I look for in a plug-in is the ability to create musical effects that go some way beyond the norm but without getting so complicated you can't be bothered to use them at all. PSP seem to have exceeded these requirements by going further beyond the norm than usual, but they've still kept the user interface simple and they've created a large library of presets that show off different aspects of the plug-in. Even if you just tweak these rather than starting from scratch, you'll still get a lot out of it, and guitarists in particular will find this a very rewarding plug-in.

Paul White, Sound on Sound Magazine

A multitap delay is an important part of every electronic musician's effects palette, and for quality and ease of use, it's hard to think of a better or more economical choice than the PSP 608.
Len Sasso, Electronic Musician

Echo

PSP Echo is a high quality echo processor (plug-in AudioUnit, VST, RTAS AAX for Mac OSX (Universal Binary); VST, RTAS and AAX for Windows). PSP Echo’s powerful and unusual features combined with its smooth operation makes it ideal for all kinds of creative uses from simple slap back and sustain effects through ping-pong delays and spacious echoes. Use the delay sliders to add special tape echo effects for even more unique effects. The tape wow control and built in ducker further extend the creative potential of PSP Echo. Internally, the Echo is like a combination of four mono tape delays—two for the initial ping-pong pre-delay and two for the main stereo echo. PSP Echo includes a set of extremely useful factory presets that cover a wide range of this plug-in’s settings.
