Roland SRX PIANO II Plugin Lifetime Key

A single, stunning 88-note acoustic grand, ideal for virtually all musical styles.

Based on Complete Piano, the eleventh title in the legacy SRX wave expansion board series, SRX PIANO II presents a single, stunning 88-note acoustic grand. Sampled specifically for the original board, every note of this world-class piano was meticulously recorded in high-resolution stereo, with four-way velocity switching and other nuances. Offering expressive playability with clear tone, bright harmonics, and ultra-wide dynamic range, this inspiring instrument is ideal for virtually all musical styles.

The Composer's Toolkit

Before virtual instrument plug-ins became commonplace, Roland keyboards and sound modules were the pro solution for accessing a wide variety of high-quality sounds in one place. Instruments like the JV-1080, XP-80, XV-5080, and numerous others offered the ability to expand their sounds with user-installable expansion boards, each loaded with a specialized sampled waveform set for different styles and genres.

After debuting the concept in 1992 with the JV-80 synth, Roland’s wave expansion board releases eventually grew to over 30 titles across two formats and multiple generations of supported instruments. For two-plus decades, SRX and SR-JV80 boards were an everyday staple for the world’s top producers, composers, and performers, and their sounds have been heard in countless hit songs, film soundtracks, and all types of media.

Plug In to a Classic

The SRX software synthesizer plug-ins bring the well-loved sounds of Roland’s legacy SRX and SR-JV80 wave expansion boards to your modern music production workflow. Digital Circuit Behavior (DCB) technology reproduces every nuance and detail, fusing the original sample ROM with advanced behavior modeling that replicates the hardware’s digital components and circuitry. Sounds can be edited via an intuitive interface and saved in the plug-in for use in different projects.

Hardware Integration

Each SRX plug-in features deep synth editing parameters to customize sounds any way you like. Knobs and sliders on contemporary Roland hardware synthesizers like the SYSTEM-8 can map to the plug-ins, speeding up your workflow with direct, hands-on control.

* Although Roland has tested numerous configurations, and has determined that on average, a computer system similar to that described above will permit normal operation of the SRX DANCE TRAX Software Synthesizer, Roland cannot guarantee that a given computer can be used satisfactorily with the SRX DANCE TRAX Software Synthesizer based solely on the fact that it meets the above requirements.
This is because there are too many other variables that may influence the processing environment, including differences in motherboard design and the particular combination of other devices involved.
