Eight Thunderous Voices
Taming A Classic Beast
Our most ambitious instrument to date, Cherry Audio’s Eight Voice polyphonic synthesizer meticulously emulates the immense sound of the Oberheim Eight Voice, one of the world’s rarest and most desirable vintage instruments. Predating modern microprocessor control, its eight independent dual-oscillator voice modules could be challenging to program. Cherry Audio Eight Voice’s unique Voice Link controls allow simple and powerful grouping of voice module controls, eliminating individually setting each module's controls when homogenous poly sounds are desired. Focus buttons allow instant enlargement of any section of the user interface, making sound programming a breeze, and massively flexible keyboard assign modes enable endless mono and poly keyboard zoning and layering options. All in all, we’ve transformed the original’s daunting user interface into a fun and inviting mondo poly synth experience.
Above all, Eight Voice knocks it out of the park with an incredibly accurate and huge sound, courtesy of award-winning synth designer Mark Barton’s (MRB) detailed emulation of the magnificent Oberheim state-variable filter. Eight Voice also includes a feature-packed eight-step “mini” sequencer, and high quality modulation delay and reverb effects. Cherry Audio’s Eight Voice is truly bursting with unique sound possibilities at an unbelievably affordable price!
What musicians are saying
The Eight Voice, my Final Fantasy… wow! This is just tremendous. I bought one of the first Four Voice Oberheims when it came out - it looked amazing, sounded absolutely huge, and recorded great, but it was incredibly big and a nightmare to move. Even so, I have always regretted parting with it until now! This new beauty is the epitome of what a soft synth should be - it does everything my brain and ears need! Gorgeous. At this price it's a gift every synth enthusiast should get immediately - if it was massively expensive I'd still buy it!

Instant retro-lushness, right off the bat. The eight virtual SEM modules lead to programming in a unique way, and opens the door for some rich signature sounds.
Tom Brislin
Keyboardist, songwriter, vocalist / Kansas. Tour and studio credits include Yes, Meat Loaf, Debbie Harry, Spiraling, Camel, Renaissance
Eight Voice totally has that unmistakable OB warm rasp. I couldn't stop playing the pads. You can hear those classic textures from the early Prince records in there. Brilliant job capturing the nuances and vibe of such a complex instrument. Kudos!

Former keyboardist / Night Ranger. Credits include Abe Laboriel Jr. (Paul McCartney), Alan Parsons, Bo Bice (American Idol), Brad Gillis (Ozzy), Deen Castronovo (Journey), Eric Martin (Mr. Big), Jack Blades (Damn Yankees), Jim Peterik (Ides of March), Jimi Jamison (Survivor), Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple), Joe Zook (One Republic), and many more.
As a rock keyboard player, one of the first things I look for in a synth are big gritty saw brass and dirty poly synths that can cut through guitars and drums. Eight Voice is inspired by the granddaddy of those iconic sounds and excels at them! I love the authentic, classic expander module layout and the incredibly functional panel focus feature. This is a desert island synth!
Phil Bennett
Keyboardist and vocalist / Starship
Once again, Cherry Audio absolutely nails the sound of one of the most sought after (and extremely rare) monster vintage synthesizers ever made - the iconic Oberheim Eight Voice. Here's your massive analog oscillators pumped through spot-on accurate Oberheim filters, plus an additional LFO, sequencer, and effects, all parameters MIDI assignable… for a tiny fraction of what you'd pay for the hardware synth today, if you could even find one.

Bold and gorgeous classic OB tones, with an intuitive UI, I had my pedals mapped to filter cutoff & resonance in seconds. My new go-to VI for classic rock tones & more!
Eric Levy
Keyboard player / Night Ranger
This Eight Voice is amazing - you nailed it so hard! I’m definitely gonna use it onstage with Missing Persons for the “Walking In L.A.” riff. Super love it!
