Masterful compression for film, TV, and beyond

PSP Flare is a tool designed for smooth and musical compression across a variety of tracks and groups. The base algorithm and inspiration for the compressor were provided by Paolo Pasquariello, a talented and gifted Italian post-production sound engineer. While it was specifically designed for film and TV/video post-production, its unique behavior can deliver excellent results in almost any application.

My initial idea was respected, nurtured, and grown into a compressor capable of delivering tens of decibels of "psychoacoustic" compression – my record is 70 dB of compression! – while remaining extremely musical and coherent. PSP Flare solves one of today's issues of music production: things are either too complicated or too simplistic. It sounds like a great blend of VCA and diode-bridge compression: respectful, punchy, and "classy" on a mix bus, for the film and video game soundtracks I usually deal with.

System Requirements

In order to run PSP Flare in 30-day trial mode or activate it, you need an iLok user ID which you can create for free at www.ilok.com, and you need to install the free iLok License Manager application but you don't need any hardware dongle.

You can activate the license in 3 separate locations, each of which can be either a computer or an iLok dongle (2nd generation or above). You can move these licenses at any time using PACE's iLok License Manager software.
