Working your way around Gyratec IX is no rocket science thanks to its straightforward and user-friendly layout. This variable-gain input tube with an SRPP output stage features a comprehensible set of controls including input and output level switches allowing you to balance both the input and output signals. If you want no harmonic saturation, keep the gain and minimum, if you like to add tube color go for more gain and reduce the output level.

The preamp also features a high pass filter and a phase reverse switch. Easy to master and sounding massive, Gyratec IX is not just only the synonym for flawless analog amplification but an extremely versatile plugin that you need among your studio tools.

The hardware original is a simple, yet powerful unit with two channels of all-tube, high-gain, transformer-balanced microphone pres which we have faithfully recreated to preserve the real sound of this analog-only signal path.
